Received January 13, 2006 Abstract — Specific features of the formation of electrochemical dissolution zones at steels CT20 and CT45 with a ferrite–cementite structure, were revealed by combining electrochemical and metallographic methods. A possibility of developing the self-dissolution process at the ferrite/cementite boundary is shown.
